Impaired Driver Simulation Program
Tennessee Trucking Foundation came out and brought the pedal cars and the drunk goggles and set up an obstacle course for the students to ride the cars through. The cones represented people and if they hit one it they were told they could spend so many years in jail and if they ran over a cone then they were told that was the number of people they had killed while driving impaired. They also talked to the students about how to drive around semi trucks. They explained the NO Zone with trucks and if you can’t see the mirrors on the trucks then the truck driver cannot see them. FCCLA and HOSA helped host the event with Officer Harvey.
