Our Mission
To promote student interest in the disciplines of mathematics and science,
providing enrichment opportunities for these subjects
in our communities through extra curricular activities.

Membership Requirements:
  • 3.0 GPA and higher overall AND in math classes in particular.
  • Juniors and Seniors must be enrolled in an Honors Math class.
  • 10 hours of Math tutoring at Community High School.
  • $10 one-time membership fee; graduation cords are $6

Membership Requirements:
  • 3.0 GPA or higher overall AND in 3.5 GPA in Science classes.
  • Juniors and Seniors enrolled in an Honors Science class. Only 3 credits of Science is required for graduation, so this requires students to take an extra credit of Honors-level Science either online or AP Access.
  • If eligible, 10 hours of tutoring can be done in Science or Math to meet service requirement.
  • $10 membership fee; graduation cords are $14

The 65th Annual Statewide High School Mathematics Contest is tentatively scheduled for April 4, 2023.
 
 
 
 
  • Students compete by teacher invitation.
  • Our regional event is held on the MTSU campus.
  • This trip is during school, from 7:45 am until 2:00 pm.
TSB logoThe Tennessee Science Bowl is a competition about facts in the fields of Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Energy, Mathematics, Physics, and other Science areas. The contest is hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy and partners at Oak Ridge (where we have our own National Laboratory!).
 
  • Students sign up for practice, which is during 5th period from October through February.
  • The competition is either virtual or an overnight trip to Knoxville - stay tuned for the layout announcement. It is always held the last weekend of February.
  • Check out the buzzers at the Find Your Place event in the gym on August 15th!
